Singing lessons
We help nurture talents and develop skills. We offer vocal lessons in which participants learn to control their bodies. During the lessons, they become familiar with various vocal exercises to improve their diction. We have a rich repertoire of songs that helps participants develop in their chosen direction. However, we start lessons with classical songs, which are the best for practicing voice and breathing techniques. Over time, we explore other musical styles together. Children aged 12 and older are welcome to join the lessons.
Guitar Lessons
We support everyone who wants to learn to play one of the most popular instruments. Learning guitar with our teachers is a fantastic adventure, and we invite people of all ages to join. However, it is recommended to begin learning classical guitar around the age of 7-8. In the case of an electric guitar—without prior classical preparation—it is worthwhile to start lessons a bit later, around the age of 12. At our school, we offer instrument rentals and provide guidance when purchasing your own instruments.
Piano lessons
We help develop musical skills from an early age. Children as young as 5 can take piano lessons at our school. At the request of parents, we can also organize lessons for younger children, where the piano teacher provides rhythm lessons. We also offer piano lessons for adults. In individual lessons or in very small groups, we help train individual skills and focus on each of our students. We also provide advice on purchasing an instrument.
Violin Lessons
Learning to play the violin is possible at any age. Our pedagogically and professionally qualified violin teachers are happy to adapt to your needs and assist with purchasing the right violin. The teaching materials at Musikschule Maestro include not only classical repertoire but also various pop music hits. Different violin exercises help improve your technical skills and mastery of many playing techniques, such as détaché, spiccato, tremolo, and others. Our highly qualified and friendly instructors provide violin lessons in Dresden and the surrounding area.
Our philosophy
Musikschule MAESTRO offers music lessons in Dresden in the subjects of piano, keyboard, vocals, guitar, and music theory. Despite some doubts and certain hesitations, especially among mature beginners aged around 30 and older, age is no barrier to learning music. Our professional piano school for adults is fully adaptable to the needs of our students. Experienced piano teachers divide the musical education process into two stages: the so-called “romance with music” (building a solid foundation and exploring diverse musical literature) and, subsequently, artistic development, which is meant to be the most enjoyable part.
Instrument selection
It’s clear that a properly suited piano (or grand piano), keyboard, stage piano, or electric piano must meet the ongoing needs of a student. For beginners without prior knowledge, we generally recommend a simple electric piano. Once we reach a point where our “romance with music” yields considerable results, it may be time to look for either a more advanced electronic instrument or an acoustic piano. Musikschule MAESTRO offers instrument rentals (such as guitars) to our students, as well as assistance and support when purchasing an instrument.
Teaching materials
Our target audience includes children, school students, university students, working adults, and seniors. The teaching materials vary according to the age group and the individual needs of the students. For children, engaging illustrations and a playful approach to conveying content in music books are just as important as suitable practice tips and playing appropriate piano pieces. On the other hand, for most adults, a logical and straightforward presentation of musical concepts and connections in books is more significant.
